How Important is Water for Sustainability in Tanzania? | Sustainability Bongo? Ep. 4

Water is often treated as a sector issue, something for environmentalists, NGOs, or infrastructure specialists. But in reality, water connects everything: business continuity, food systems, livelihoods, health, and climate resilience.

In Episode 4 of Sustainability Bongo?, we are joined by two sustainability champions working from different ends of the spectrum; Rispa Hatibu, Senior Manager, Communications & Sustainability at Serengeti Breweries Ltd (a subsidiary of DIAGEO), and Sabrina Yegela, Founder of Bantu Vegan.

Together, we explore water as a shared dependency in Tanzania; from supply chain risk and institutional sustainability to agriculture, food systems, and community learning.

The conversation bridges structured corporate stewardship with lived, hands-on experience; and challenges us to rethink how partnerships, storytelling, and trust can unlock more meaningful progress.
